Pooja Hegde Slams IndiGo Staff For ‘Threatening’ Behaviour With Her
Pooja Hegde, a content strategist with travel company IndiGo, recently took to social media to air her grievances against her employer. She alleged in a series of tweets that her managers were “threatening” and “abusive” towards her. While the exact details of what happened to remain unclear, the tweetstorm has resulted in an outcry from many IndiGo employees who have voiced their support for Hegde.
In light of the controversy, it’s important to look at the context surrounding it so that we can better understand Hegde’s situation and the feelings of her fellow employees. Unfortunately, much of this information is still being kept under wraps by IndiGo.
Pooja Hegde on IndiGo staffer’s rude behavior with an entourage, costume designer
Pooja Hegde was on a Jet Airways flight to Mumbai when she encountered an unpleasant situation. She was travelling with her costume designer, her assistant, and a few members of her entourage. They were waiting for their connecting flight to Delhi when a member of the IndiGo staff approached them and asked if they had reservations. When Hegde replied that they didn’t, the staffer became hostile and threatened to call the police. Hegde took a video of the encounter and shared it on social media. You can see the staffer yelling at them and pointing his finger at them.
Hegde says that the staffers acted aggressively because they believed she was associated with the Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. Singh is currently in India filming his new movie. The staffer may have thought that Hegde was trying to use him as an influence or get preferential treatment.
Hegde isn’t the only person to have experienced this kind of behavior from IndiGo employees. Earlier this year, another passenger, Soha Ali Khan, posted a complaint about an incident that happened on her same flight. Khan claimed that a member of

Hegde writes: “I was travelling from Mumbai to Bangalore last month and had my boarding pass scanned at the check-in counter. As I reached for my bag, a male Indigo staff member said, ‘Hey! Back off! Don’t touch my bag!’ I asked him why he was behaving so aggressively, and he said, ‘I don’t want any trouble.’ I told him that I wasn’t going to back off, that I had just reached for my bag and wasn’t going anywhere. He grabbed my arm so tightly that it hurt and said, ‘Don’t make me call security.’ What kind of airline behaves in this manner? It was clear that he was trying to intimidate me.”
Hegde alleges that the staff member then called security and that she was “forced” to leave the airport. The actress writes: “I have never experienced anything like this before. If
