Safety During Public Transport
If you are traveling via public transport, make sure that you are first and foremost aware and updated with all the latest information released by your government regarding the virus and official safety protocols.
Next, what you can really do is avoid touching things. Try not to touch the doors and windows as much as possible. Use the cashless mode of payment as then you will be eliminating direct contact. If you do touch something while on public transport, remember to use your sanitizer that has 60% alcohol in it.
Maintaining physical distance is extremely important while traveling via public transport. Keep a minimum of 6 feet distance between yourself and someone next to you. Do not hesitate in asking the person to move away (decently) if need be. If the floors and seats are marked as per the distancing rules, follow them completely.
If you using carpools or taxi, avoid air-conditioners and car heaters. Rather, keep your windows open and let there be fresh air. Good ventilation can help you stay safe while traveling with a stranger. Do not forget to keep a good amount of distance. You can also use disinfectant wipes to clean the surface that you use.
